HOMEMADE HEALTHY TOMATO SAUCE RECIPE! My mum makes this and I asked her to write me out a recipe so I can post it on here for you lovely people! Mum makes a large quantity of the sauce that we keep in the fridge so we can use whenever. So I halved her recipe for a smaller amount, which is still quite a lot! But it lasts a long time in the fridge so it’s fine to keep leftovers in there! 
Ingredients: 
-30g olive oil 
-10 cloves crushed garlic 
-2x410g crushed tomato tins 
-half a bunch of fresh basil
-salt and pepper to taste 

Method! 
1. Heat oil in saucepan
2. Add crushed garlic, stir until aromatic 
3. Add one can of crushed tomatoes, stir 
4. Add basil, salt and pepper, stir 
5. Add the mixture to a food processed and blitz the mixture. 
6. Add the other can of crushed tomatoes and blitz the mixture in the food processor again 
7. Return mixture to the saucepan. Bring to boil and then simmer on low for 30 minutes 
8. Serve with chips, vegetables, pasta, anything!!
